A Nairobi Summer School Alumni, cohort II. He is a driven and passionate individual who has consistently demonstrated dedication to leadership, activism, and making a positive impact in his community. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from a private leading university in Burundi,Université du Lac Tanganyika and a Master’s degree in International Relations gained from Shanghai International Studies University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in International Relations at the University of International Business and Economics in China. In 2014, Patrick MUSHITSI joined a national youth association called Association des Amis de la Paix et du Sport as a member. He quickly rose through the ranks and became the Secretary and later the Vice President of the organisation. In 2021, he was appointed as the National Coordinator of Nasser Fellowship Movement Burundi Chapter, recognizing his leadership abilities and contributions to youth programs. Additionally, he worked as a Marketing Manager for a travel agency for two years, developing customer service and administrative skills. Patrick MUSHITSI is also passionate about environmental activism and has become a respected voice in his community. He has spoken at various events about climate change and encouraged people to take responsibility for preserving the environment. He has actively participated in international youth forums, gaining experience and knowledge on global issues and promoting cultural diversity, peaceful coexistence, and tolerance. In 2021, he won the third prize in the writing competition on Achievement of China Communist Party, showcasing his research and writing proficiency in political and diplomatic issues. Due to his exceptional leadership skills and dedication to service, he was recently appointed as Commissioner in charge of Administration and Leadership at Burundi National Youth Council. His management skills and experience in youth programs make him an ideal choice for activities engaging young people .
